All about our summer
Summer at the Christensen's
We've had such a fun summer here in the Christensen home. It all began in June when Jake got to go to Yellowstone for 2 week!! Little did I know how long two weeks is when your a single mom with a baby that doesn't sleep and a 2 year old that is out of control. Needless to say, next year it will only be a one week fishing trip. For the 4th of July we mostly just played at Heidi's house because it was Emily's birthday. Sage looked so cute in her little american flag shirt. We were also part of the 'parade' and Jaxon rode along on his giant moose while waving at the neigbors. It was too cute. I made a Cinderella cake for Emily's birthday and she just loved it. We spent the evening watching fireworks and I had both of my babies cuddled up on my lap. Jaxon was okay with the noise as long as he was holding tight to his mom. My dad and I had a pretty good laugh about how close the fireworks were being lit off and how crazy dangerous is was. I guess that's funny. All in all it was a fun day. We spent a lot of time at the pool this summer which was a life saver on the hot days. Here's a picture with Jaxon's super cool turtle glasses!
Our next fun adventure was a trip to Snohomish to see Becky and her boys, as well as the rest of the family. It was fun to see baby MaKenzie and baby Sage together. Jaxon had so much fun at a carnival because his brave cousin Mya made sure of it. He rode on all the rides that he normally would never have done. It's a good thing for cousins. Also I got to know my mother and sister-in-law a little better as we rode on one of those crazy spin you around rides at the fair. We couldn't stop laughing.
We then spent the next two days playing games, watching youtube, catching frogs, and all those fun things you do with family. It was a lot of fun.
